 We combine old world craftsmanship with
modern construction techniques to bring the venerable log cabin into the 21st century. Log
Legends has the look and feel of a full round log home.
Combining handcrafted logs with conventional walls, prevents problems found in traditional
log homes, such as warping, shrinkage, shifting, settling, and air/ water infiltration.
The "conventional frame structure with log siding technique" uses the
round part of logs, which are then handcrafted and mounted on the exterior of a 2'x6'
frame. They are often used on the inside for a warm and woody coziness. For a
more contemporary feel, drywall can be used for the interior. For yet another interior
look, logs and drywall can be combined. Large, full, round logs are used for the second
level floor joists and the roof support system- trusses, purlins, eave logs and ridge log.
Beautiful things happen when form follows function; the massive beams give strength to the
structure while adding rustic charm inside the home. A spacious loft, staircase and
handrails are also handcrafted from logs, creating a lovely focal point.
 The unique manufacturing process
includes handcrafting second story floor joists, building the
shell wall panels, gables and dormers, installing the windows and trimming the with logs.

on lofts and upstairs balconies. Since fireplaces just naturally go along with log homes,
Log Legends can pre-build fireplace and chimney chases faced with stone if your home
design allows for the added feature.
Once everything has been put together, the log home is disassembled and the components
shipped to the new homeowner's lot.
Advantages of the "Conventional framed stucture with log siding" System:
- We start with solid 2x6 frame construction. The frame is then fitted with OSB, Tyvek
moisture barrier, and then each log is milled, handcrafted, and mounted to the exterior.
The second level floor joists and the roof system are all "full round log".
- You don't have to worry about the logs shrinking, twisting, or warping. You don't have
to deal with settling jacks, or air infiltration, water infiltration, or blown out window
frames, and door jambs.
- When your contractor erects the home on your property, the inside is a standard 2x6
frame. That means, no specialty electrical contractors, or specialty plumbers, which saves
you time and money.
- The walls can then be filled with any R factor that you desire. Your interior finish can
be log, T&G, drywall, or a combination of all three.
Log Legends unique method of construction enables us to build our homes in
"whole" wall sections. The wall leaves our plant already assembled, stained, and
chinked. The windows are already installed, framed, and trimmed. Your shell is completely
assembled in our production yard and then disassembled in wall sections and loaded on a
truck.
We send our onsite re-assembly advisor to your property to help your contractor erect
the home. Log Legends is also licensed, bonded and insured to contract the erection of
your home effectively and efficiently, because we built it. Our unique method of
construction, 6 laborers, a crane, and our foreman team up to erect a 2,000 sq. ft.
home on your foundation in record time.
